There are three different ways rocks can be made. The three types of rocks are: Sedimentary - made by years and years of sand, mud and pebbles being compacted together. Metamorphic - are made from other rocks when they are under great pressure or heat. Igneous - are made from volcanoes. When the volcano erupts it spews magma or lava. When the lava or magma cools, it hardens and forms rocks.
